We couldn't climb the stairs for a view from the top,  but enjoying the beauty of this historic site from ground level was worth the effort of the visit.  Check out the interesting sites in your state or better yet, come visit North Carolina.

Disney World

Not exactly North Carolina, but definitely Out and About.  If mobility is a problem, I recommend renting a powered wheelchair.    Disney World is HUGE.

Lighthouse at Bodie Island, NC.  North Carolina has seven historic lighthouses on its coast.  These lighthouses represent beacons of Hope.  Don't ever loose sight of your lighthouses.
